Where the Lilies Bloom

Picked this one up on the Big Island last fall at the
King's Daughters Thrift Shop in Kealakekua. It's a movie tie-in edition with a black & white photo section in the middle.
I still haven't seen the film, but I did love this book back in about the 6th grade. I've never forgotten the thing with the onions, and I still love the idea of "wildcrafting", although I'm actually fairly hopeless when it comes to plants.
Oddly enough, the publicity on the back says this was a Newbery Honor book, but it's not on the ALA's list.
