Thank you Poodlesister for sending me this wishlist book for HGG. It was such a lovely surprise!
I remember reading the back cover and thinking it would be a good one to read at some point and now I've got the chance!

"I'll tell you what happened because it will be a good way to introduce my brother. His name's Simon. I think you're going to like him. I really do. But in a couple of pages he'll be dead. And he was never the same after that."

I've just finished reading this book and found it to be a real page-turner. Its very well written and has quite an emotional story.
I think this could be a good candidate for a bookray.

I caught this book today, and have only had time to read a few chapters of it so far, but it's sad and gripping at the same time, as the narrator, Matthew (now nineteen and in a mental hospital) describes how his life began to fall apart after his brother's death when he was nine.
