My sister gave this to me :)

My sister has had this book in possession since we were kids. I could have read it at anytime and I never did. I'm not sure why I put it off for so long as I would have loved this when I was younger and I really enjoyed it as an adult.

Sabriel is a great main character, one you can really get behind. I also like Touchstone though I kept picturing him as Rocky from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' which I pretty sure was not the authors intention! I also enjoyed Moggot, mainly because he was a cat, even though he wasn't really a cat. Cats are still cute even when they are just balls of evil energy.

Like most fantasy/Sci Fi books the big showdown at the end felt short and almost two easy. But this didn't spoil my enjoyment of the book overall and I would certainly read the rest in the series.
