Saw some good reviews on this yaoi manga, so I ordered a copy from Amazon. The premise is rather goofy: two high school boys get magically transported to another dimension by a feisty princess in a micro-bikini, who claims she needs them to "exchange bodily fluids" in order to fuel her power in a battle with the foe who's trying to destroy her entire family and take over the realm. The exchanges begin with a kiss, with poor Akabane being quite unwilling to participate - the other boy, Moriya, is his rival for the affections of a girl, or so he thinks. But as their adventures in magic-land continue - along with the intensity of the kisses - Akabane finds himself less angry and more... interested. And then a sudden attack threatens Moriya's life, and things get serious!
Well, sort of serious - this is a one-volume story, so plot twists tend to resolve themselves pretty quickly. There's a neat one surrounding Moriya's wounds, one that affects both boys' futures - and, yes, eventually we get to a sequence where the two are happily exchanging more bodily fluids than simple kissing can do, though most of this occurs in less-than-explicit panels. And while the whole story gets wrapped up rather quickly, I did enjoy it.
There's a bonus story, "Pheremones", that's MUCH more explicit than the main one, and consists almost entirely of sex scenes - perhaps to make up for the relative mildness of the main story.

ended up reading this last night. i hadn't realized this was by lily hoshino, who i was familiar with from two other books. i like her artstyle, although it's not as lush and detailed here as the other books of hers i've read. the story is completely fluffy, but good for a quick and mindless read. i like the way she draws semes, although she tends to focus much more on the very girly ukes (and in one side pairing the uke looks completely like a girl). anyway, the RPG setting made this a bit more unique. also, the seme in the main story wears glasses, for anyone who has that particular fetish. ;)

I enjoyed this book. It was very RPG-ish in it's plot line. I enjoyed seeing Akabane and Moriya's relationship develop spurred on by the "exchange of body fluids" kissing that the two do to help enhance the princess's magic. This was a quick and enjoyable read.
