In the meantime, she gets an assignment from the local paper to interview an expat author. The character, Conrad Coralbank, an Englishman now living in Thailand with a Thai wife, is especially entertaining if you realize its written by Colin Cotterill, an Englishman now living in Thailand with a Thai wife. Conrad's wife has disappeared. Has she really ditched him to return to life in the city? Or is something more sinister in play? (After all, who hasn't fantasized about murdering a family member?!) Stupid fun.
