Advanced Reader Copy picked up from a friends of the library book share shelf to read and release.

When I started this I quickly discovered that it is the third book in the series. However, the author has introduced past elements of the ongoing story of the detective Mr. Jackaby and his assistant Ms. Rook in a way that as a reader I wasn't lost by not having read those books first. I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast paced paranormal mystery. It did end on a bit of a cliffhanger, but I shall be tracking down the next book hopefully the next time I visit the library.
