Recommended by a workmate! This was like a cross between 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' by Ransom Riggs, and 'Rivers of London' by Ben Aaronovitch, with a bit of a dash of 'The Dresden Files' by Jim Butcher. I really liked that this book had two angles, both of which enthralled me, but together made the story fantastic! The amnesia angle worked for me, giving O'Malley a good in to explain things to me in a way that held my interest, and added a layer to what would have been a fantastic story anyway! Loved the premise, loved the story, and the sequel is also pretty good!
Hope you enjoy this birthday gift!

Received from the awesome Discoverylover in a top birthday parcel. Thank you very much!
So I finished reading this book this morning as I woke up early. I enjoyed the ideas and the characters, but I'm not sure if it needed to be quite as long as it is! Some bits made me laugh and I liked the interplay and jokes between the characters. Good for a first novel so I probably will give the sequel a go. Thanks again for sending me this one. :-)
