The follow up to Ready Player One. I didn't think it was as good as the first one but it was good enough to make me want to read more. Definitely an interesting look at what happens after the competition!
Seems only right that the lovely bookcrosser who sent me the first book has now sent me the second. ;-) Thank you for the awesome parcel!
I re-read Ready Player One to set me up for this as it had been a while. I still liked that first book just as much second time around. I agree this wasn't quite as good, but once the quest got going it became a bit more interesting. I found the ending a bit weird. Not sure "let's just resurrect everyone" is a great plan! Once again I enjoyed the 1980s references. It was interesting to see which ones had made it to the UK and which ones were a mystery to me. (Nerd Note: Laverne and Shirley was actually shown on on UK TV in the 1980s, I remember watching it.) Thanks again for this one discoverylover. It was good to see what happened to the gamers after the first competition.

And off it goes as a bit of winter rabckery. Happy reading!
What a lovely surprise in my mailbox, thank you bookfrogster! 💌
Oh this was fun! Read it in conjunction with Wil Wheaton's narration of the audiobook. The highlight was definitely the Robert Duckie Jr./John Hughes movie montage quest. I really hope this sequel turns into a film production as well.
