This is a story about a parallel universe where a man is abducted by the evil forces on the other side. Set in the four corners region of the southwest, the story centers on the cliff dwellers that vanished from the area during ancient times. There is mysterious poison woman and guards with a deadly and unknown type of weapon. The hero, Mike Raglan must find a way to the other side, travel the maze like halls of a fortress where every he meets may have an evil agenda, evade the labrynth's deadly traps and save his friend Erik.

Good story. Different from what I had expected. I'll have to look at Louis L'Amour again.
