This book was recommended to my by a good friend and I really enjoyed it.
Adventure story with Eastern mysteries, exactly my kind of book. :-)
The book was written by James Hilton, an English novelist who was born in 1900 and died in 1954.
Four people, who are being evacuated from Kabul in an aircraft, are being abducted into the high Tibetan Himalayas by the pilot, who performs a crash landing and then dies.
They're found by monks of a remote monastery located in a valley known as "Shangri-La". Step by step, they're discovering the mysteries hidden in that valley, but in the end, nothing is as clear as it seems.
