A great find - a Terry Pratchett I had not read as I had lost touch with this series. I enjoyed it but not as much as the pure Terry books. The concepts are fascinating as are the moral elements including man kinds hostile reaction to anyone who is different to them. I liked the ideas about all of the different ways earth (and now Mars) could have developed.

This had some interesting ideas in it, including one recycled from The Science of the Discworld. It's generally quite dark, and a bit samey with others in the series, but I still enjoyed reading it. The Next were particularly interesting.
