After her elderly neighbor Jesse Hennessey fails to make his daily appearance at the diner, Shannon swings by to check on him and discovers his body on the couch and his house ransacked. He had bragged about finding a priceless necklace scuba-diving a few years ago but then said it was a tall tale. But apparently his new girlfriend was not a tall tale and she comes into town to mourn him. But suspects and deaths start increasing and Shannon needs to find out who killed her friend before she is next.
