Book-crossed on behalf of my eldest child, will need it back eventually for my youngest, so hoping to do a ring.

"When Rebecca wades into the witch's pond after a row with her best friend Sarah, she meets a very unusual new friend - a huge, warty toad! And Glubbslyme is no ordinary toad. Hundreds of years old, he can talk and - best of all - he can work magic. Maybe, just maybe, he can help Rebecca be best friends with Sarah again..?"

Ringing to:

A couple of weeks ago I hadn't read any Jacqueline Wilson books. Now I'm a firm fan!
Thanks for this - I look forward to reading it, then I'll be sending it back with another couple of JW books that seem to be collecting at my house.
Why weren't these books around when I was young enough to read them properly as a child?

Journal Entry 7 by loopy1 from Herne Bay, Kent United Kingdom on Sunday, April 11, 2004
Well I enjoyed this one as well - some books by JW are firmly grounded in reality, while this one was definitely edging over to the fantasy side. Some very funny lines, and an enjoyable story.
Will be making part of a parcel sometime this week!
Thanks for the loan.

This is the first bookcrossing book I've received! Sent with a wonderful video of insects, which I've watched twice already :o) Will read as soon as I've finished Lily Quench.

The book is about a girl called Rebecca and a giant magical toad called Glubbslyme. Glubbslyme uses his magic to help Rebecca be best friends again with Sarah, with mixed results.

I liked this book because I found it exciting, especially when they flew up into the clouds on an umbrella and it was also very funny.

Thank you for lending it to me :o) Mum (acanthium32) would like to read it before we send it back.
