It is a cold January morning and Shetland lies beneath a deep layer of snow. Trudging home, Fran Hunter's eye is drawn to a splash of colour on the frozen ground, ravens circling above. It is the body of her teenage neighbour Catherine Ross. As Fran opens her mouth to scream, the ravens continue their deadly dance.
The locals on the quiet island stubbornly focus their gaze on one man - loner and simpleton Magnus Tait. But when detective Jimmy Oerez and his colleagues from the mainland insist on opening out the investigation, a veil of suspicion and fear is thrown over the entire community.

Thank you for the brand new book, tea bags and beautiful card, all of them amazing !Edit 15/07/2017 : Raven Black finally reached the top of my TBR mount. I am now reading it. I know I will not be disappointed as the plot is gripping from the very first pages. And I just realized this copy is signed by the author, how nice :)

Great book! I liked Perez a lot - and have put the other Shetland books on my wishlist right away. I might even knit a Fair Isle Sweater - I have wanted to for years and the book was a reminder.
