I'm really getting to like Cleeves' books, and Jimmy Perez is a fab detective. This one was atmospheric, really quite creepy, and I did not expect whodunnit!

Picked up at the York BookCrossing meetup. I like this author's Vera series, not tried any of the Shetland ones yet. We shall see.
It appears from looking back over my bookshelf that I have read one of these Perez books before but had completely forgotten about it. Not usually a good sign, but this one is really enjoyable, and I liked the strange, remote setting and the subversion of the reader's expectations. It doesn't go anywhere fast but the journey there is an extremely interesting one.
