From a Buick 8 is a novel by Stephen King. Published on September 24, 2002, this is the second novel by Stephen King to feature a supernatural car (the first one being Christine, which like this novel is set in Western Pennsylvania). According to the book sleeve: "From a Buick 8 is a novel about our fascination with deadly things, about our insistence on answers when there are none, about terror and courage in the face of the unknowable." The title comes from Bob Dylan's song "From a Buick 6".

This book is so boring, I don't know where to start. After reading Dr Sleep and enjoying it, i thought i'd enjoy his other books so when i saw this for 10p at a bootsale i jumped at it!

I have given up on page 152. I skipped to about halfway through the book and it's still going on about the scary car that lights up (that isn't a car - "whatever"!) and the alien that keeps appearing but seems to be already dead. It just has no meaning to me whatsoever and i don't like any of the characters at all.

The book started off interesting with how a young man deals with death but it's just too full of silly scary scenes that don't work that i can't be bothered to waste any more time on it
