When shooting breaks out at the local school the community is stunned – especially when the gunman is a child himself. But is he guilty?

I really enjoyed this book. I found it a little slow at first but once it picked up the pace i was hooked. The key characters are Rainie Conner, a local police officer for whom the school shooting is her first homocide investigation. The crime brings up memories of events in Rainies own past which in someway mirror the crimes commited.

FBI profiler Pierce Quincy joins the investigation and his insights to the crime are fascinating. The interactions between Rainie and Quincy are some of the best moments in the book.

A good enjoyable read.

This was a GREAT book! I agree that it may have been a little slow in the beginning. The end was anything but slow, though! I am now going to have to get all the books in this series. I just saw that a new one came out very recently. Boy, do I have some reading to do! I am going to pass this book along to my mom who I think will enjoy it.

I thought the book was an excellent read. Great mystery with an interesting twist at the end. Lisa Gardner will definately be on my to read list in the future
