Interesting book. I've read several Kurlanski books and have enjoyed them all. Learning something new everyday. I am returning this book to fellow BC'er "6of8"for her "Biographies of Things book box". Thanks "6".

Since it will be a while before the book box comes my way again, I think I will take it to Kensington Book Festival instead of letting it languish unread.
