Another great read from Grisham. Three judges in a minimum security federal prison, who call themselves The Bretheren, handle cases for inmates and have a side scam which goes awry. They ensnare the wrong victim, a powerful man on the outside, a man with dangerous friends, and The Bretheren's days of quietly making time are over...

Received this book today and have placed it on the top of my to-be-read pile (which is growing all the time!). I imagine I will enjoy "The Brethren" as much as John Grishman's other books!
Finished this morning (July 1st) and found the book to be a bit predictable and the ending a bit flat. For all that, it was easy to read and I enjoyed it.
Sending on to 'Loopy1' in UK just as soon as I get an address.

This is the first John Grisham I've read, and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect.
I did enjoy the book, but found it hard to work out whose side I was supposed to be on, and having no sympathy with any particular character made it less gripping than I had expected.
Even so, I did enjoy it, and will probably go on to read more by the same author. Thanks for sharing this!
I'm just waiting for an address to send it on its way.
