2 journalers for this copy...
Larger trade-paperback size in great condition. Saw this at a Friends-Of-The-Library Book Sale and bought it for LeighBC in the U.K., as it is a larger size and in better condition than my other copy. I read this quite a while ago - it was selected by the Book-Of-The-Month-Club, was a New York Times Bestseller, and was written by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of A Thousand Acres. I would describe this novel as a satire, displaying Jane Smiley's wicked wit and comic timing.
Mailed to LeighBCD in United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 9th 2004 by slow boat -could take 4 to 6 weeks. This is part of a controlled-release trade.
Libby2, thanks so much for your generosity in buying me a new version of the book! You are so kind! I am a big Jane Smiley fan... I have so many books to read, especially as part of book rays etc., that I have no idea when I will be able to read this but please know that I will enjoy it and be grateful to you for having sent it to me.
The Dante Club will be mailed to you this week... I have had an unbelievably busy time at work, and have not had a chance to get to the post office. Hopefully you will receive it very soon.
Thanks again!
Leigh

Libby, it took me a while, but I finally found time to read this book. It was great! I love Jane Smiley, she is such a fine writer. This novel was set in a Midwest college and at length she explored the scandals and characters of the community there. I really enjoyed it.
I will send this book out into the wild for someone else to find. Thanks so much for trading with me!
