3rd edition.
What are we doing to our world? Is this damaging it? What can we do to preserve the world for our descendants?
The answers to these and many other questions are inside. It also makes an excellent source of quiz questions being full of interesting and useful(?) facts.
If you don't like reading long books the many mini chapters let you absorb 3 or 4 pages of facts at a time. Reading it again you realise how much you forgot and how much is in such a small book.

Released on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at flowerpot pub in Derby, England United Kingdom.
Released at Derby Meet-up, if it did not get picked up by one of the other BCers then it will be on the bookshelves at the back of the downstairs lounge. This is a good real ale pub and worth a visit for the beer as well as find books in the wild.

What an intriguing little book! I got this at the Derby BC meet-up and must admit I started it when I got back to my hotel. I've already read several of the books from which this collection of extracts has been compiled, but some of the others I've not read and look to be very interesting. Another benefit of BC, a suggested reading-list, with examples. ;o)

Picked up at the BCUK Unconvention in Birmingham. I've looked at this book several times in Waterstones book shop, so I was pleased to find a Book Crossing copy.
Over 60 essays averaging 2 or 3 pages long about the major issues facing the earth; pollution, globalisation, genetic engineering, global warming, etc.
Quite shocking and depressing, but contains plenty of ideas about possible solutions that would help towards making human activities sustainable.
