Loyal. Beautiful. Professional. Impeccably organised. Potentially lethal. Sarah Stevens is a woman with many distinct qualities. First and foremost a butler par excellence, skilled at running large households smoothly and efficiently, she is also a trained bodyguard and expert marksman–indispensable to her elderly employer, a courtly gentleman whom Sarah has come to respect and love as a father.
Then one night she thwarts a burglary in progress, a courageous act that rewards Sarah her requisite “fifteen minutes of fame” with the local press. But the exposure is enough to catch the attention of a tortured soul who, unbeknownst to Sarah, will stop at nothing to have her for himself.

Bought from the store in Tharwa, ACT.

This story is about Sarah Stevens, a young trained bodyguard, who firstly worked for an elderly judge who was suddenly shot while she was out. She found another job with a husband and wife. She came home to find they had also been shot. Then a man whom she had met previously offered her a job managing his home when he entertained visitors. However things were not as she imagined and she was drugged and held prisoner.
She had a man friend who was a detective. He became worried he hadn't heard from her. He broke into the house and a gun battle followed. It was an intriguing mystery, and a great read.
