A rather unrealistic book. I cannot imagine there would be a president of the United States who would use the FBI and the CIA to further his political ambitions. That is in effect, what this story is all about.
The President tells Iran that they have two weeks to allow inspectors into their country to attempt to find the weapons of mass destruction that the president is sure is there to fine. At the end of that period, the military strength of the United States will come down on Iran in a massive strike which will probably "bomb Iran back into the stone age".
John Wells and some other former CIA officers are convinced that the president is being manipulated by an amazingly wealthy man for his own personal reasons. This story is a "pressure cooker" one with the pressure rising with each chapter. The explosion will be far greater than what might happen in your kitchen. This is an exciting read.
