This is a brilliant book. There are lots of books about London but this one is different because it's not about London's sights or history, it's about its people. The author has interviewed folk from almost all walks of life - from the greedy to the seedy - from the weird to truly wonderful and just about all those in between. He only left out religious folk (maybe not wanting to be seen to favour one religion) and those in Her Majesty's hotels but I guess Wormwood Scrubs doesn't have open days! One word of warning though. If you are of a squeamish disposition, some parts of this book will make you go eeeew!
