I loved American Gods and was excited to read another book in that universe.
The writing is hilarious, the characters are memorable (love to hate that Graham Coates), and I loved the use of African/Caribbean folklore.
Highly recommended!
From Chapters.ca:
"Fat Charlie Nancy's normal life ended the moment his father dropped dead on a Florida karaoke stage. Charlie didn't know his dad was a god. And he never knew he had a brother.
Now brother Spider's on his doorstep—about to make Fat Charlie's life more interesting . . . and a lot more dangerous."

I wasn't a big fan of American gods so I don't know why I gave this book a chance. Maybe I just really needed an audio book that day. No regrets.
This book was AMAZING!! (or at least the audio book was). It was funny, and interesting, and funny, and all the things I imagined a Neil gaiman book to be (that American gods wasn't)! (Did I mention it was pretty darn funny?!)
Highly recommended. If you can't get into it, just check out the audio book from the library. It's pretty great.

Bringing to the June Calgary BookCrossing meetup.
picked up at the June 2016 meeting
it took me a while to get into this book, but it was worth the effort - the ending is hilarious, and a little surreal.
Picked this up at the August BookCrossing Meeting
I just couldn't get into this. Bringing back to the group as there are other names on the list.
Taking this to the May BookCrossing meeting to be enjoyed by the next reader.
Brought this home from the May meetup at Cravings.
Listened to this while I was on holidays. My husband would get annoyed when I would start chortling as I was listening. Poor Fat Charlie.
I am bringing this to the January meetup at Cravings to pass on to the next reader.
Picked up at the monthly Book Crossing meeting at Cravings Market Restaurant
I LOVED this book. I've read American Gods and I enjoyed it, although I do love the focus spent on the one "god" in this book. The lore makes this story, and like all of Neil Gaiman's books it reads like a fairy tale for adults.
Will be bringing this book to the monthly Book Crossing meeting at Cravings Market Restaurant.
Picked up at get together
This wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but I really enjoyed this book!
Thanks for the fun read!
