Philippa Gregory wanted to write a book about a woman no-one but herself would like. I've just read it and I can easily admit it: I don't like Emma.
Also, I don't like the Infanta of Spain, the Constant Princess, Queen Katherine of England, who is the heroine of this book by Philippa Gregory. However, both books are beautifully written and one can't stop until one knows how the story ends. Which in the case of this book is: extremely sudden!
