I bought this in a second hand shop in Lillehammer, Norway. The place where the story starts. This is a story about the Birkebeinerne that saved Prince Haakon and traveled over the mountain to bring him to Nidaros. This is a very important part of Norwegian history.
The book seams to be signed by the author. It is not always easy to understand this type of signatures. I´m going to read this and then bring it to the Convention in Oslo 2017.
I decided not to read this. I tried. It had a lot of English words I didn't understand and it took me to much time to read. So I gave up. Maybe to early, but I got lots of other books to read.
There where also a couple of things that annoyed me. He uses some Norwegian words. We say: tusen takk. In the book the author say: tusen tuk.
Inga makes some food for the king. Smoked salmon in Lillehammer in a war? Where did she get the salmon from? It is several days on a horse to the nearest salmon river. I think people in those days ate short traveled food. If they ate big fishes in Lillehammer back then, they would eat trout.
