An amazing book that takes a lot of work to get used to. I spent a lot of time re-reading many passages to understand what was being said, and to appreciate the flow of the narrative.... Then it just clicked! It became second nature. Why have we stopped talking this way. The magic. The poetry of language.... Then I had to figure out if I was reading a journal or a shaking text book. A huge amount of information directed at the reader. A lesson in every aspect of years long passed. I recommend this literary journey to everyone (with a simple message.... "don't give up. It is worth it").

I found this book in my local doctors surgery after having watched the book as a potential purchase on ebay for a number of weeks. This book had a big influence on my favourite video game franchise so I'm very excited to read it.
