Purchased USED for $0.50 at the Friends of the Library book sale in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Probably the third or fourth copy of this book that I've owned -- and the second on my shelf right now, just in case I need to loan it out to a new friend. :)

Warning: this is a gateway drug when it comes to this author! I truly believe Christopher Moore is an American treasure and I hope you don't disagree.
My original review from 2006, right before I sent it out as my first ever book-ring:
"I heard about this book and author from the Today Show's book club. My first experience with Christopher Moore was not my last. He is absolutely crazy in a great sort of way and is now my favorite author, by far. The books are wacky fiction and fantasy - totally escapist, fun and worthwhile. "Fluke" is about a group of researchers trying to figure out why the humpback whales in Hawaii sing (You'll NEVER guess the reason!)"

Really interesting synopsis here...I have heard of the writer nor the book, but I love addictive writers....and if I like Moore as much as Moody-Blue does, then there is always Better world books, to obtain more titles.....(between $ 5 and $10!) I definitely love whales so I guess this book is it for me anyhow....!
