Hardcover with images printed on: no dust jacket. Not sure where this one came from.

Polly's father is a Baptist minister, so although they live fairly well in England, he seizes the opportunity to take a colony to the United States where they can have religious freedom. But things start to go wrong on the ship that takes them to New York, and Minnesota is not what any of them expected.

Based on the author's family history: Reverend Rodgers was her great-grandfather.

I'll count this book as my 2016 Minnesota read for NancyNova's 2015-2016 50 States reading challenge.
