CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Posted to bookcrosser in South Africa.
This arrived in early December, but unfortunately I didn't have internet access for a while, so I wasn't able to journal it.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It is an excellent detective story - the perfect mix of mystery and humour. What a pity A.A. Milne didn't write any more books about Anthony Gillingham!
I will now pass this on to another BCer who I think will enjoy it.

I really enjoyed it. I have recently saw the film "Goodbye Christopher Robin" and this book added to the characterisation of AA Milne as revealed in the film.
Thank you for this lovely surprise.. and sorry for taking so long to journal its arrival :/
This looks very interesting, more so since I also recently watched Goodbye Christopher Robin and found out what a prolific writer AA Milne was apart from his children's fiction.

I enjoyed trying to figure out the solution along with Antony Gillingham and Bill. The Bill character is especially lovable... as he swings back and forth between excitement at helping to solve a mystery and horror at the thought that someone was capable of the deed.

From a book box. Liked how it was written. Got a little fed up with how the characters talked but then that was of the time. Good characters and also not too serious. Himself wants to read this now
