One of my many Charlaine Harris TBRs, registered so I can tag Poodlesister with the book, once it is read, as part of the European Wishlist Tag http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/10/489942/8683696
Charlaine Harris has a clear formula: sweet southern gal, late 20s, something is an issue that meant she's not had a serious relationship, suddenly embroiled in a mystery and has 2 suitors.
Although a little dated as a story, but after looking back it was first written in 1990, it's not aged as well as the other series I've read as it's got a few key references that were very of the time; such as typewriters.
I'm glad tagging Poodlesister gave me a reason to read it, and I will probably read the next book in the series eventually, it's now on my wishlist.

I enjoyed this book and found it easy to read but it didn't grip me like some do. I will continue with the series when I have the next book.

I thought this was an okay read, a solid start for a series. Though there were some things that the author wrote that raised my eyebrows… Funnily, when I started reading this I immediately wondered if they have turned these into a TV series and that same afternoon I started watching a new cozy crime mystery series on TV (yes, I still watch series on TV :D ) to realise that indeed they have. I guess that the title they had given to the series in Finnish Auroran murhakerho (Aurora’s murder club) should have been a dead giveaway.

This book is on its way to the next reader as a part of the wishlist tag game. Happy reading!
For a minute I thought "Yikes, real murders", but luckily it's only the name of the crime club. Thanks and your parcel is slowly growing (a full Ärrä-bag / 5 kg is my aim).
