I found this softcover at a local Salvation Army thrift shop. It's a collection of folk tales from the region of Lake Atitlán in Guatemala, with lots of background information on the history and culture of the people who originated the tales. Some of the stories are rather grim, indicating the problems arising from the Spanish conquest and subsequent prejudice; others are amusing and upbeat.

I plan to leave this book on a ledge in the entrance of Panera Bread at around 5:30; hope the finder enjoys it!
