WILD RELEASE NOTES:

This was discussed positively on the radio a few weeks ago and I ordered it from Better World Books on the strength of the comments. Today while listening to a discussion of the reviewers Best Books of 2017 it was mentioned again as a very important text. I love coincidences, especially when they lead you to such a thought provoking book. Despite being written some time ago it hasn't lost relevance.
It's about journalism and ethics and surely must be a mandatory text at all journalism schools. Made me think about those embedded war correspondents.
The need for people to believe the journalist is their friend seems to me to be even greater now with reality TV programmes. Recently we have had people complaining about their portrayal on MasterChef. They really thought they were entering a fair cooking competition and had no comprehension that the producer was making a TV show and that the cooking was a sideline.
Pleased to see this is on the wishlist of a person I have exchanged boooks with in the past.
