This book rode to the end of the Otherworldly Bookbox. I had just read one of the Anna Strong novels recently and thought that I would be interested in reading more if I came across them, so this was perfect timing!
Even though I enjoyed Retribution, this book is falling flat for me. I'm well into the murder mystery, and just feeling very apathetic about the characters. I don't really care who lives and who dies, or who ends up in whose bed. The plot is bland and struggling to keep an engaging pace.
Hopefully the next reader will find it more satisfying.
