Girl In Hyacinth Blue

The romantic (and fictitious) history of a famous Vermeer painting. Art History class would have been so much more interesting if told like this! I enjoyed the reverse history; each chapter going farther back in time and adding another layer to the story. This book seemed appropriate for my first BookCrossing release since it traces the paths taken by an object as it moves through the world. I'm leaving it on a wall in front of the Berkeley Art Museum on a Monday, when the museum is closed. That way if someone doesn't get to see actual paintings they can imagine one with this book.
