This is the sequel to "Generations of Winter". That book chronicled the experiences of the Gradov family through the rise of Stalin and the purges and WW2. This one picks up where that first book ended, with the final generation and their experiences in the post-war Stalin era.
After reading "Generations of Winter" I felt compelled to read the rest of the story and bought this used on Amazon. I am glad to have finished the story, although I agree with a number of reviewers on Amazon that this is not quite up to the level of the first book. It did not hold my attention to quite the same degree. Still well worth reading if you read the first one.

Will be released at tonights monthly book swap gathering at Kiwi Cafe. Along with the first volume "Generations of Winter". It would be appropriate to keep them together since it makes a lot more sense to read this only after the first volume.
If it is unclaimed at the meeting it will be on the book crossing shelf at the cafe.

Picked this up along with the first part, Generations of Winter, at Kiwi Cafe last night.
I enjoyed finishing reading the family's saga, but I agree that the first book (/2 books) were a more compelling read.

Bringing to BookSwap at Kiwi Cafe to give to Nina and reunite it with Generations of Winter
