Thanks so much for my lovely NSS parcel. Having read 'A Moveable Feast' and 'The Paris Wife' I've become a little bit obsessed by the Hemingways so I'm really looking forward to this one.

This book did not disappoint. I really enjoyed it. Although it is fiction it is obviously based on biographical sources so it feels very real. You get a very real sense that Hemingway was someone who needed to be loved and to be in love and it would appear that the only wife who matched him in temperament was Martha Gellhorn. A fascinating read.

Given to me by my friend Snoopy56 when we met for tea and chat this morning. I look forward to reading it.

REVIEW:- "While this book was interesting enough to keep me reading to the end I didn't find it outstanding. I enjoyed reading about the Hemingways' lifestyle but failed to understand why so many women tended to fall at his feet, especially as his marriage track record worsened. However I don't expect he would have had so many wives had he been a pauper.

When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

This has arrived safely with me in London! Thank you so much. I shall do my best to get it read and moving again as soon as I can.
