2 journalers for this copy...
In a derelict house in LA, a young woman is found savagely murdered. Naked, strung from two wooden posts, the skin has been ripped from her face - while she was still alive. On the nape of her neck is carved a strange double-cross: the signature of a psychopath known as the Crucifix Killer.
But that's not possible. Because, two years ago, the Crucifix Killer was caught and executed. Could this be the work of a copycat? Or is Homicide Detective Robert Hunter forced to face the unthinkable? Is the real Crucifix Killer still out there, taunting Hunter with his inability to catch him?
Robert Hunter and his rookie partner are about to enter a nightmare beyond imagining...

This is one of my husband's books given to me for wild releasing but I have decided to read it first.
I found this to be a fast paced thriller with a surprise ending.

Given up on this early on, not because I didn't like it but it seemed familiar - yup, I've read it before! Here's a copy of my review from May 2012...
A good, gripping read which very much reminded me of Richard Montanari in style but for me that's no bad thing :o)
Credibility-wise I'm not sure if these murders & complicated set-ups would have been feasible for this killer "in-real-life" - maybe thats just as well! - but thats the beauty of fiction, it can take you into a world where anything is possible & in this case gives a freehand to a killer who is inventive, cruel & appears to be killing at random. Of course there is a connection between the victims, although I failed to see it!
Now off to read something new.......
