Journal Entry 1 by winghyphen8wing from Honolulu, Hawaii USA on Monday, January 25, 2016
Newbery Honor book: story and pictures by Natalie Babbitt: nice because you know the illustrations reflect the author's vision - sulky Ada, loyal Annabelle, and so on.

Didn't read this one when I was a kid, but it's a cute one. Picked up as part of my $5 bag from Manoa Valley Church.

Instep lies at the foot of Kneeknock Rise, a mountain with a mysterious creature living at its summit. When Egan goes to the annual fair in Instep for the first time, he will meet his relatives, solve a mystery or two, and perhaps learn something about human nature.

Here's another copy on my BookCrossing shelf.

It's now your book, for you to do with as you please: keep it, pass it to a friend, or maybe even leave it where someone else can find it!

If you've ever wondered where your books go after they leave your hands, join BookCrossing and you may find out: you'll be able to follow the further adventures of your books as new readers make journal entries - sometimes from surprisingly far-flung locations.

(Think of it like Where's George for books...or a little like geocaching - you can follow the book's journey every time someone makes a new entry. Some BookCrossers even leave books *in* geocaches!)
