Good read. Another cozy, a bit of romance, some nice twists.

Publisher's description:
Answering Shakespeare trivia comes with the job description for library director Lindsey Norris. But when the Briar Creek Community Theater mounts their newest production of the Bard, she has no intention of leaving the stacks for the stage. Unfortunately a villain is waiting in the wings…

Former Broadway actress Violet La Rue is holding auditions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream—and everyone from the sour spinster librarian Ms. Cole to Lindsey’s youthful library pages are trying out for parts. Brought in to play the mischievous Puck is the flirtatious professional actor Robbie Vine, who seems to have eyes for Lindsey. Before her blush has faded, the Bard’s dream turns into a nightmare—when one of the cast is poisoned. Now Lindsey and her crafternooners must take center stage to unmask the culprit before the final curtain call.

Now in bookstogive's Mystery/Thriller VBB

When a superannuated actress is invited into a small town production of Shakespeare you can expect all kinds of problems and stress but murder doesn't immediately spring to mind (except in the deepest darkest parts of the other performers' and director's minds). Violet La Rue is such a false name you know it was adopted for the stage but working with a very experienced actress is a great draw for any aspiring thespian and we're hoping lots of people will come to our performance.
Unfortunately one actor is poisoned, the police are involved, Lindsey Norris and her fellow librarians become more than interested.
It's nicely complicated and a satisfying read.

This is a fun series and in this volume we're trying to put on Midsummer Night's Dream as a community theatre production with one real actress dropped in. These things never go well and we have a murder, of course.

Picked up at the last Bookcrossing Meetup. And so had to read it again. Still a good mystery & who can quarrel with Shakespeare? (Or librarians?)

Will release somewhere nearby soon.
