A Christmas gift from my chickens. Pretty sure they found it on the bargain shelf and bought it NEW from Books-a-Million in Wichita Falls, Texas. ;)
Michael Pollan should be everyone's go-to source for food production and nutrition information. I'm always enlightened when I read/watch/hear one of his new books or documentaries. This time, he's delving into how and why humans cook food. It was all very interesting, but of the four main methods he describes, I gained the most from the bits about baking and fermenting.
