Thank you very much for this lovely Christmas surprise and the stollen biscuits and tree decorations. And of course the wonderful train! I will post a photograph of all these wonderful things when we eventually get some daylight in this county!I love the Crowner John mysteries especially as I lived in Exeter when I was very young boy. If you compare the 12th century map of the city, in the front of the book, with a modern day street map you will find the layout has hardly changed!

I always enjoy these as they are set mostly in 12th century Exeter, the city where I spent the first five years of my life. If you compare the street map of today with the one in the book, it's very recognisable.
