If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it.
Thank you very much, kiwiinengland, for this wishlist book!!
This was a good story, or two stories really, and although it didn't quite pack the same punch as Me Before You, I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing!

Travelling to dark-draco. I spotted this book on your wishlist, so it has hitched a lift with one of the roundabout books!
Thank you so much for my surprise wish list book š
A nice little mystery, wrapped up in a romantic court case!
I really loved the start of this ... set in WWI, it tells the story of a small village, occupied by the Germans, and the fight just to survive. For Sophie, this becomes more of a challenge when she decides to risk her reputation to find her POW husband. It was a tense, intriguing novella in itself.
Jump to the modern storyline, and I wasn't quite so enamoured. Mainly because it took too damn long to link back to the story I'd just been immersed in. Once the picture was back in the picture, so to speak, it did get better and the whole investigative nature became fascinating.
But, I think editing the two stories together might have worked better. They were intertwined at the end, and that added to the appeal, but maybe doing it earlier would have made both timelines equally enjoyable.
I'm not sure I liked the ending - a bit too pat and happy ever after for me, for both Sophie and Liv, but probably what you'd expect in this sort of book.
Overall, another enjoyable read by Moyes.
