W is for Wasted: A Kinsey Millhone Novel

Some of this series I have liked, some I haven't. This one was pretty good.
A middle-aged, homeless alcoholic dies in his sleeping bag on the beach one night. The only thing he has in his pocket is Kinsey Millhone's name and phone number. But Kinsey has never seen him before in her life. Curious, she goes to talk to his homeless friends down on the strip of beach where they lived. One thing leading to another, she finds out that the man is related to her and has left her all his money, which is a goodly sum. His kids are none too happy with this turn of events. Sliding over to another thread of the story; a down on his luck, unscrupulous PI, that Kinsey has known for some years, is found murdered in the local bird refuge. Add in a guest appearance by Dietz (PI, body guard, and former lover of Kinsey) and a few new characters (including the most adorable kitten Ed) and some great old characters, and the story works itself out nicely.

Going into the Surprise Bookring to fulfill a wishlist request.
Released in Surprise Bookring to Booklady 331.
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Thank you for really surprising me with this wish list book. I have X but wanted to wait until I read W to read it. Now I can complete the series - at least with the books already written.
Found the book enjoyable, but parts of it a little out there. I am ready for Kinsey to have a life. Not much more I can say than BooksandMusic wrote.
Enjoy! surprise (sort of) RABCK to dabercro. She knows I am sending a wishlist book, just not which one.
Thank you for the RABCK!
Another great installment in the alphabet series.
