My original copy of Atonement has turned into a bookray which disappeared into the ether: RIP. To mark the approaching occasion of my 300th book registration and my second anniversary as a Bookcrosser, I have decided to bring this bookray back to life.
Here is the order of the bookray. New participants will be added to the list as and when I hear from them.
Please note that this is an INTERNATIONAL BOOKRAY. Please do not ask to join the bookray unless you are prepared to send books overseas - surface mail is fine, though, there is no requirement or necessity to post air mail.

Received in the mail today. Thank you for restarting this bookray, LeighBCD!
The first section of the book starts slowly, but after a while it became obvious where the story was headed, and there was nothing I could do except to read on. I hated Briony by the end of part one, even though what she did was a misunderstanding (at least to a certain extent).
The book was beautifully written, and the different POV characters made reading interesting. The second part (about Robbie) was my favourite.
I still haven't decided whether I liked the ending or not... The ending makes sense, but at the same time I felt a little cheated.

It's my second McEwan's book, after "In Between the Sheets" short stories, and it was a great read !

Recieved today! Thanks for sending it. BTW, the reason I sorted it in the Permanent Collection status is not because I plan to keep it. Sorting it this way helps me separate my rings/rays from the rest of my books. Easier for me to know what I need to get out the door. :)
