Four Stars Out of Five - from UNDERGROUND BOOK REVIEW
Cooke has a deft hand with realistic dialogue that serves her well here. Her most graphic scenes are slightly spartan in their description; side stepping any concerns of a gore fest. In fact, the most violent scenes are tastefully skipped over right to their blood drenched aftermath. Occasionally, she may linger over a throat closing scene or two. But some of us do find trying not to choke a bit sexy. *cough*...

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This is a Memorial Release For Teddy Sexton.
Teddy passed away July 24, 2012. Since then, I've given myself the job of spreading the books he left behind as if they were his ashes. Not all of the books I'm releasing during this time were his; but the bulk have been. I still have many, many of his books left to share.
Left on the bookshelf in the breakroom.
To the finder of this book, please enjoy it. Please share it with someone. Please help it travel. Thanks!

I'm claiming this from the Otherworldly Bookbox. Looks like a "being a vampire isn't easy" kind of story {wry grin}.
Later: Good, creepy atmosphere here, with a beautifully mundane opening turning horrific, as main character Thomas wakes from what he thinks is a major hangover to discover he's been turned into a vampire. He's mentored in his new un-life by Spencer, who has his own agenda - but both of them are subject to the powerful bonds between vampires and those they sire. Indeed, there are some interesting games going on among the characters, that are based on the manipulation of those bonds... There are other subplots as well, the usual power-plays and whatnot, but I liked the individual-character relationships and motives better.
