Meredith ‘M.R.’ Neukirchen is the first woman president of a prestigious Ivy League university. She too faces problems: challenges to her leadership which test her integrity in unexpected ways. And then a reckless trip upstate thrusts M.R. Neukirchen into an unexpected collision with the ghostly Mudgirl and the life M.R. believes she has left behind.

As M.R. finds herself in thrall to a force beyond her understanding, all she knows is that she must resist or else sink back into the mire of her own past.

Näköjään unohtunut merkitä kirjan "nappaus" mutta siis nyt hänet on luettu, mielenkiintoinen tuttavuus tämä Oates. Yleensä en tällaista korkeampaa kirjallisuutta lue mutta Mudwomaniin oli onnistuttu loihtimaan koukuttavia kiehtovia aineksia joista pidin. Vapautuu Pilkkuun!
