Finally managed to pick this book up, it is one I did not get on well with. The story is told as match reports of the each of the character attended with addtional information on what is happening in his life at the time. There is much more to the character in the book then what comes accross on the film. The feelings and obsessions he has for his team are discussed and shown much better.
I am not a big football fan and have always failed to see what people see in the sport. I was hoping to be given some insight in the why people do there rituals and why the supporting the team is so important in their lives. Sadly I do not think that the book provided me with this and I ended up only getting three quarters of the way through.
