Golbo the Spider's Amazing Vacuum Cleaner Adventure
7 journalers for this copy...
Vacuum cleaners... What could be more dangerous? The threat from these evil machines had been drilled into Golbo the Spider at an early age, ever since his Uncle Snotkrunch had been sucked into one while going for a stroll after a family meal. Sure, dodging vacuum cleaners was Golbo’s second nature, but one day something went wrong. Horribly wrong. And yet, Golbo the spider was about to embark on the most extraordinary adventure of his life…

An offering for the Little Free Library of Twinbrook :)
Thank you so much for this softcover (c. 2014), Faizy! I can't wait to read it. Of course, I plan to circulate it among my Bookcrossing friends (hoping for a review for you!) before I release it in my Little Free Library of Twinbrook (#7720) in Rockville, Maryland.
Thank you for the post card as well.
Let me know how things go with setting up your own Little Free Library. If there is anything I can do to help you with that, don't hesitate to ask!
P.S. I have to tell you about another children's book about spiders that my two-year-old grandson loves. It's Diary of a Spider by Doreen Cronin. Your book reminds me of it because this book has a section in it where spiders are given drills to avoid vacuum cleaners. Haha!

This children's book is cute and very funny. My favorite line in the story is this one: "...when you are being whacked with a broom every few seconds, it is inadvisable to stick around for a lengthy discussion." Haha! I like the vocabulary used to tell this story. I love the funny character names of the spiders: Golbo, Spognot, and Uncle Snotkrunch.
One thing did drive me crazy, though, was that the spiders were pictured with six legs. Spiders are arachnids and have eight legs. I know they also have eight eyes, but all those eyes don't need to be drawn. In future editions, do have illustrator Korey Scott add an additional pair of legs to each spider. Thanks! :)

This book is being released at the Book Buffet at the home of authorauthor during the annual holiday party of BCin DC. Thank you for your hospitality!

I spotted this book on the table not 5 minutes after I handed off the book about the mathematical frog by the same author. This really appealed to me, so I snapped it up.

An amusing tale of a spider with dreams of living on the beach, who ends up being sucked into a vacuum cleaner. The story is a fun read and emphasizes ingenuity and perseverance. And highlights the surprising aptitude spiders have for interior decorating.
This book is going with me to meet-up at Wheaton Mall and will hopefully find an excited new reader to go home with.

Got this book at the February BCinDC meet up. The title caught my attention.
By the way, spiders have 8 legs not 6. This, i noticed immediately.
I agree with another reviewer, Squeakychu, Journal entry #4, "One thing did drive me crazy, though, was that the spiders were pictured with six legs. Spiders are arachnids and have eight legs". In future editions, do have illustrator Korey Scott add an additional pair of legs to each spider."
Thank U.

I am returning this booklet to "Squeakychu" as requested, to be circulated among BCinDC members, to review.
Caught! Thanks for returning the book. I'll keep it circulating!
Releasing this book to a Fellow Bookcrosser at a Meet-Up in Starbucks, venue of our OBCZ (Official BookCrossing Zone).

Received from Squeaky and will read before our book festival next month.
Can't spoil the story, but this spider needs all the help he can get. Mixed into my book collection when I moved, I just realized I hadn't brought this back to the meetup group.
This came home with me from today's BC-in-DC meeting.
Once again I find that I've held onto a book far longer than I intended. I finally read this and am ready to pass it along at tomorrow's BC-in-DC meeting. This is another cute story about the challenges of life as a spider.
Passing along at the July BC-in-DC meeting.
Brought this home from the BCinDC meetup. I’ll share it with my grandson then get it back to SqueakyChu per her request.
I caught this book at a BCinDC meetup in Park Potomac Shopping Center, Potomac, Maryland.
This book is now ready for a Little Free Library release. :D
